Family Member Success Stories

See what some of our “Family Members” have to say about us!

“I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Doug Glover, Family Member Veterinary Hospital, for 8 years. The last 2 years I have driven from Long Beach to continue coming to him to care for my pets. Dr. Glover and his staff are the best veterinary team I have ever met. They truly love and care about the welfare of my pets. Dr. Glover and his staff are committed to providing the highest level of medical care to all their clients. I have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Glover and his staff to care for my pets. Dr. Glover is always available to talk with me if I have a question or concern about my pets. At Family Member Veterinary Hospital I am not treated like I am just another patient, I am treated like a “family member”. I highly recommend Dr. Doug Glover and his staff for all your veterinary needs. I am very thankful for all they have done for my pack.”

“Dr. Glover and the entire staff of Family Member Veterinary Hospital are so kind and compassionate in the care and treatment of their canine and feline patients. They also take good care of the human parents too.”

Missy Stalcup, Trabuco Canyon, California

“Dr. Glover and his staff show deep compassion for all pets and their owners. The facility is immaculate and we highly recommend Family Member Veterinary Hospital to all pet owners, especially people who consider their pets as members of their family.”

“We have been coming to Family Member since we arrived in California over 7 years ago. Our Golden Retriever, Tucker, is 6 years old and has had hip and joint problems since he was 10 months old. He had hip surgery on his right hip at the Vet Clinic when he was 11 months old. It was recommended by Dr. Glover to hold off on the other side until he has problems. He is now 6 years old and he walks 3 miles every other day. We will never forget when Tucker had his hip surgery. We went to the clinic to visit with him after the surgery. Shinobu, one of the Vet. Tech’s, had Tucker on a comforter. She had his head on her lap while she was petting him. She had been sitting with him since he woke up from the surgery. Later that evening, around 11:00, we received a call from another Vet. Tech. to tell us that she came in to check on Tucker, and told us that he was comfortable and sleeping. The caring staff at Family Member always puts us at ease.

Frankly, we have had many pets, and have lived in 4 other states. Our pets have never received such personalized care from any other Veterinary Clinic. We are grateful to have found Family Member Veterinary Clinic.”

“I have been coming to Dr. Glover for 11 years now. He has saved the lives of my two cats, cared for my two dogs and calmed me when I was worried about my “babies”. Most of all he has always treated us like friends and not clients. His care for animals cannot be measured, and if he ever retires I told him I’m moving in with him. He is a professional that is caring, genuine, and honest. I can’t imagine anyone who truly loves and cares for their pets going to another veterinary establishment. Jackie, Sara, Bu and Laura and the rest of the staff are always there to answer your questions. Also, Dr. Link, the hospitals new addition has been superb. When I had concerns about one of my pets, she stayed on the phone with me until I understood what was going on. I am happy to share my experiences at Family Member Veterinary Hospital in the hopes that others will make the best decision when it comes to care for their pets.”

“Dr. Link has treated all of my fur creatures since I moved to Mission Viejo. I sincerely appreciate her gentle and kind nature with both my pets and with me. My seventeen pound ball of fur, Rascal, knows her personally because I trusted her to perform life saving surgery on him to remove a long string he thought he needed to eat. When another vet said my old dog needed to see the heart specialist immediately, I again, made an appointment with Dr. Link. She suggested starting with some routine blood work, x-rays and EKG’s. We already knew my dog had a heart murmur from previous examinations. As it turned out, my dog did not need to see a heart specialist. While I certainly would have done this if necessary, it was Dr. Link who did not jump to conclusions. She is very thorough in her evaluation and treatment plans for all of my pets. She presents options and helps me understand them. I followed her to Family Member because I want the best care for my pets and I get that from Dr. Link. She is awesome.”

“Dr. Glover and Family Member Veterinary Hospital have been treating our dogs, cats and a bird since we moved to the area in 1997. The way our pets are truly treated as “family members” is the reason we keep coming here. Our Dalmatian “Lucky” always looks forward to his “vacations” here when we are away.”

Julie Dolan

“We are so happy with every aspect of Family Member Veterinary Hospital. Not only is the facility beautiful and immaculate, but the staff is amazing. Everyone is exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable. Every time I visit I feel like I learn something new about my dog. All my questions are answered with confidence and a smile. It’s nice to k now that my dog has a great family at home and at the vet!”

“I have been bringing “Gipper” to Dr. Glover and Family Member Veterinary Hospital for almost seven years. From the time he was a kitten, I have been very pleased with the care and treatment he has received. He hasn’t had any problems except for an eye infection. I believe that this is due to having regular check-ups every year to make sure he is healthy. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hospital as well. Thank you so much!”

“Apart from the excellent care, the best thing about Family Member Veterinary Hospital is the personal interest shown by Dr. Glover and his staff for each one of our “family members”; Summer, Shadow and Tara. When Dr. Glover needs to see one of our cats, he always takes the time to explain the pluses and minuses of any required treatment. We also appreciate the follow-up calls after one of our cats has been in for a visit. The most memorable display of care and sympathy came when we had to put down Sandy, our 17 year old Persian. Rather than have her suffer another traumatic trip to the office, Dr. Glover agreed to come to our house for her final treatment. At least she was able to pass in her favorite surroundings.”

John and Romana DeGroof

“Dr. Glover and his entire staff have been absolutely wonderful with our cat Misty. Misty is about 16 years old and hence, her kidneys are not functioning as well as they used to. So, she gets the pleasure of visiting Dr. Glover and his team on a weekly basis to get fluids. Although sometimes she can cop a real attitude, they always treat her with love and welcome her back each week with open arms. It means a lot to us that we can count on Dr. Glover’s staff to take good care of her. Even though there is a vet closer to our house, we choose to travel a little farther due to this special attention. In Misty’s own way, she appreciates all that the staff does for her. She is such a blessing to our family and we are thankful for all that Family Member has done for her.”

“I have been working for Family Member Veterinary Hospital as a receptionist since March 2007. In September of 2007, Dr. Glover treated a beautiful Siamese cat by the name of Eddie. Eddie had been diagnosed with a painful oral disease known as Stomatitis and because of the extensive surgery involved in the treatment plan was at risk of being euthanized. Due to Eddie’s young age (5), Dr. Glover decided to rescue him and make him a member of the hospital’s “family”. Eddie soon became a fixture on our front counter greeting clients and bugging the staff with his loud stories. After several rounds of treatment with antibiotics and pain management medication Dr. Glover agreed that surgery was the next step in keeping his Stomatitis at bay. Dr. Link removed the teeth causing all the problems and now Eddie is doing great!

During his stay at the hospital, Eddie and I became fast friends. Dr. Glover was kind enough to let me take him home as my own. Eddie is now an affectionate lap cat. Thank you so much Dr. Glover for saving him, to Dr. Link for doing his surgery and to the entire staff for loving and caring for him. Most of all, thank you all for him!”
